Terms and Conditions for Registration in the Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth
- 1) The applicant must be between 13 and 18 years old as of the program launch date (1st September).
2) A valid copy of the Emirates ID (both sides) must be uploaded. Any registration that does not include this copy will not be accepted.
3) Participants are not allowed to register for more than one medal in the same cycle.
4) All submitted documents used as evidence of achievements must be dated within the last two years of the cycle closing date (1st May).
5) Certificates or documents that have already been used and awarded in previous cycles cannot be reused.
6) All required hours in the Skills section must be completed in a single skill.
7) All required hours in the Fitness & Wellbeing Activity section must be completed in a single sport.
8) Participants may reapply only by registering for a higher-level medal, with new supporting certificates for all sections.
9)I n case of winning the Gold Medal, participants may only reapply for the Gold Medal after a period of two years.
10) If the participant wishes to prove the Skills section through self-learning, a video between 5 to 10 minutes must be attached, showing how the skill was acquired and demonstrating some practices of the skill (please see award manual).
11) Participants must provide evidence of completing the required hours in through providers who meet the following conditions: (not applicable to Skills category)
- – Must be licensed in the United Arab Emirates.
- – Must issue official certificates, including the number of training hours.
12) Further rules of application, as outlined in the Award Manual (Second Edition), must be adhered to.
13) For certain sections that may involve risk, such as the Adventure section, responsibility for safety lies with the provider and the participant, and the Award disclaims any liability.
Additional Provisions Governing Participation
1) All participation must align with the values and objectives of the Award and must not conflict with the laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates.
2) Final approval of participant applications may be subject to an application audit, whereby participants and/or coordinators may have to provide further information regarding the submitted category activities. The Award reserves the right to approve or reject applications on the basis of this audit.
3) If any false information or documents are found to have been submitted, the Award has the right to cancel the registration or withdraw the award application.
4) The registered email address and phone number are considered the official means of communication, and participants are responsible for following up on notifications and updates.
5) Participants and their guardians (if under 18 years old) agree to the use of submitted photos, videos, and materials for media and promotional purposes related to the Award.
6) Participants must maintain positive conduct and respect toward all parties throughout their participation. The Award reserves the right to disqualify participants in case of misconduct.
